For over twenty years, Tech Networks of Boston has specialized in fortifying and managing IT systems for nonprofits. Their thorough planning and impeccable implementation allows nonprofits to focus on their respective missions, rather than their tech issues. TNB has also developed many programs that support the nonprofit community. For instance, their Nonprofit Roundtable meets regularly for presentations on critical IT-related topics, and their Boston Charity Events calendar is an important resource.
During Viv’s discovery phase, we came to understand that TNB’s community involvement and warm personal touch was critical to their customers’ satisfaction. In the tech industry, where companies can have a reputation for being a little “chilly,” this personal touch is a major differentiator. At the same time it was important that, as a tech company, they convey a cutting-edge, tech-savvy identity.
Viv generated some potent visual solutions to reconcile this dichotomy of between high-tech intensity and a human touch. For one, the fonts we chose resonate with a clean and lofty ideal, not too far from Apple or other high-tech companies. Meanwhile, the site’s content focuses on their friendly, collaborative, and compassionate approach. We made sure to provide vibrant photos of staff and clients to underscore this message. As a B-corp (like a nonprofit) they have a mission. Right on the homepage, we shine a spotlight on this mission, because it creates a further connection to their customers, who are also mission-driven.
We also have worked for Tech Networks of Boston as a contractor for their clients – building websites, as well as emergency support and debugging.
